Job Description

The role of Base Maintenance Planning Manager is to oversee the planning and coordination of base maintenance activities for SAS's fleet. This includes ensuring that maintenance is conducted in an airworthy, safe, and economical condition, as per European Aviation regulations and EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-145, and Ops requirements.

As a key member of the Maintenance Planning team, you will be responsible for managing base maintenance planning activities, technical representation for base maintenance operations, and leading a team of experts to deliver on all aspects of maintenance planning. This involves airworthiness control and monitoring, preparing maintenance work packages, planning individual maintenance tasks, and collaborating with stakeholders such as Fleet Management, Network, Procurement, Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Organizations, and the Operations Control Center.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, employee responsibilities with annual performance reviews and development planning, process confirmation and development of planning procedures, participating in department and maintenance budget preparation, and maintaining aircraft fleet operational availability through strategic and tactical planning activities.

A successful candidate will possess academic degrees in engineering fields or relevant backgrounds from the aviation industry, with 4-5 years of relevant experience within the aviation industry. Preferably, they will have at least 3 years of continued airworthiness management organization experience and minimum 2 years of experience in a management position with team leadership, development, and practical leadership skills.
