Hydrogen PPA Originator

At Vattenfall, we are committed to helping our customers power their lives in a climate-smarter way, free from fossil fuels within one generation. We are seeking a skilled Hydrogen PPA Originator to join our team in Hamburg or Stockholm/Solna.
Key Responsibilities:- Originate new business in the renewable Hydrogen market, aligning with Vattenfall's portfolio and strategy.
- Identify deal opportunities, focusing on mid and long-term Hydrogen Energy Solutions, PPAs, and Corporate PPAs.
- Understand market dynamics and policy frameworks on Hydrogen.
- Originate, negotiate, and structure complex transactions with external counterparties.
- Grow renewables business and execute asset strategy with Business Area Wind.
- Build and maintain relationships in the German and/or Dutch energy market, particularly with renewable generators and customers.
- Lead the deal process from beginning to end, including liaison with internal stakeholders, planning, and carrying out negotiations.
- More than 5 years of experience in the relevant power market, ideally in Hydrogen or Renewables Origination.
- Proper understanding of the power energy market.
- Proven track record of deal initiation to deal closing.
- Resilient and determined to execute Vattenfall's strategy and reach our goals.
- Strong networker and able to build trust and engagement, both within the company and externally.
- Strong commercial sense and a good understanding of trading, risk management, credit risk, back office, and finance functions.
- Willing communicator, able to coordinate the deal approvals process within Vattenfall.
- Academic degree – technical or economical, Master of Science or higher.
- Able to work independently to originate and close deals, but comfortable in a team environment.
