We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Chalmers University of Technology.

Job Description
  • The successful candidate will be part of our organic electronics team, focusing on electrochemical doping and wearable electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct independent research on electrochemical doping and its applications in wearable electronics.
  2. Collaborate with PhD students and Postdocs within the group and external collaborators to study the mechanical, electrical, and electrochemical properties of conjugated polymers.
  3. Develop novel devices for wearable electronics that harness the observed changes in stiffness or stretchability during electrochemical oxidation/reduction cycles.

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with a focus on organic electronics and electrochemistry of organic semiconductors.
  • Proven track record of scientific publications and experience with characterization tools such as FTIR, UV-vis spectroscopy, DSC, TGA, X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy, AFM, SEM, TEM, electrical conductivity measurements, spectroelectrochemistry, and cyclic voltammetry.
  • Previous experience with fabricating and characterizing organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) is required.
  • Hold a doctoral degree awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline.
