Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Engineering Training Center Manager to join our team at Hitachi Energy.

In this role, you will design and deploy a training and development framework that facilitates improved organizational performance and technical skill.

You will develop and lead the long-term and strategic plans related to training, including global governance, budget operations, and continuous improvement.

You will drive a holistic and common training approach to functional and product-related training across the Global center of competence, functions, and hubs.

You will create, coordinate, and ensure effective delivery of course content on technical trainings together with the Functions and the Hubs with a focus on Engineering, Service, and Sales.

You will map the existing training and certification programs in line with the people vision enabling lifelong learning and growth, deliver, and review new programs.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Develop and lead the long-term and strategic plans related to training, including global governance, budget operations, and continuous improvement.
  2. Drive a holistic and common training approach to functional and product-related training across the Global center of competence, functions, and hubs.
  3. Create, coordinate, and ensure effective delivery of course content on technical trainings together with the Functions and the Hubs with a focus on Engineering, Service, and Sales.
  4. Map the existing training and certification programs in line with the people vision enabling lifelong learning and growth, deliver, and review new programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in training program design, learning and development, and/or operations/quality leadership.
  • 5+ years' experience leading teams (remote leadership experience preferred).
  • Technical background and experience in an engineering environment is a plus.
  • Successful experience of developing and implementing training roadmap starting with a white page.
  • A proven track record of continuous process improvement; positive leadership; strong planning experience and connecting solutions to business outcomes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, continually changing, matrixed environment.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to successfully multi-task and meet deadlines and customer demands with a sense of urgency.
  • A proven change agent who fosters teamwork and has proven ability to adapt and lead by influence.
  • Fluent in English.
