About the Project

The project aims to develop a clinically compatible method for producing photoreceptors from pluripotent stem cells. This involves several steps, including culturing and differentiating pluripotent stem cells, isolating cells, conducting genetic analysis, and using microscopy to test the functionality of the generated photoreceptors.

The generated photoreceptors will then be tested in animal models, and once functionality has been demonstrated, the work will focus on making the method clinically compatible for future clinical trials.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage.

  • Experience in differentiation of pluripotent stem cells is highly advantageous.

It is also beneficial if you have experience in retinal developmental biology or production of retinal cell types, flow cytometry, cell sorting, microscopy, clinical cell production, and GMP.

  • Cell Therapy Developer
