Head of IT Procurement

About the Role

Vattenfall is seeking a seasoned IT procurement professional to lead our IT procurement team towards a fossil-free future. As the Head of IT Procurement, you will play a critical role in driving our sustainability goals by securing innovative technologies and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the IT procurement strategy in close collaboration with the IT department and business areas.
• Lead a team of procurement professionals to source and negotiate best value for money contracts for IT/OT, software, hardware, and related services.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with corporate objectives and drive long-term business success.
• Recommend industry trends, best practices, and future-proof architecture to ensure the procurement process is performed with excellence.
• Capture synergies in terms of resources and spend with other procurement departments.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, fostering an environment of growth and professional development.

Requirements

• Relevant academic degree and experience in a similar position.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of successful leadership in international corporate environments.
• Knowledge of global IT markets, current trends in procurement, and best practices.
• Ability to work in large and complex organisations, handling internal and external interfaces effectively.
• Courage to speak up and embrace challenges with a drive to seek value-adding solutions.
• Focus on integrity, at all times.

Location

Amsterdam or Stockholm. We are only considering candidates already living and working nearby these locations.
