PURPOSE OF THE STUDYInfotiv, as part of the research project ArtWork, aims to investigate the use of simulation and digital twins of factory workers, equipment, and tools. The goal is to enable quick prototyping and testing of machine learning models used to monitor and control agents in such environments.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of using simulation for:
- Localization and monitoring of agents
- Developing machine learning models to monitor and control objects and agents and their pose
- Verification and validation of existing ML models
Potential research questions:
- Verification and validation of complex machine learning-based models in a simulator
- Human pose estimation using ML
- Multi-Camera localization, tracking, and mapping
- Multi-agent Indoor navigation

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We seek 2 master students with a background in mechatronics, computer science/engineering, or equivalent programs, interested in software development and computer vision, with experience in programming languages such as C++ or Python. Previous experience in Machine learning, ROS2, Nav2, Gazebo simulator, Git, Continuous Integration, Delivery or Deployment, Jenkins, Test Automation is meritorious.
