Req ID: 461625
At Alstom, we are dedicated to understanding transport networks and the dynamics of mobility. Our extensive portfolio includes high-speed trains, metros, monorails, trams, and comprehensive systems, services, infrastructure, signaling, and digital mobility solutions. Every day, our diverse team works towards greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities while minimizing carbon footprints and reducing reliance on cars.
Your future role
Embrace a new opportunity and leverage your expertise in a pioneering field. You will report to the Environment, Health and Safety Manager and collaborate with a team of passionate and dedicated professionals.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Site EHS Manager and the operational teams in conducting EHS Risk Assessments and establishing effective measures to mitigate risks, while working in tandem with internal resources to meet EHS objectives.
On a daily basis, you will partner closely with the EHS Site Manager and operational teams to avert injuries, accidents, fires, and environmental hazards. Additionally, you will provide practical EHS guidance to managers, project leaders, and field operations teams, positioning yourself as a vital advocate for enhancing health and safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote incident reporting within the organization, assist in root cause investigations, recommend preventive measures, and document findings in the incident reporting system. Analyze EHS occurrence statistics.
- Provide EHS support for tenders and projects.
- Aid the Site EHS Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining local procedures and tools, ensuring alignment with national regulations, Alstom standards, and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
- Educate, instruct, and train employees and contractors to perform their tasks safely and in an environmentally responsible manner according to established methods.
- Conduct inspections, oversee contractors, and perform EHS audits and assessments.
About You:
We prioritize passion and attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, we have identified several that will enhance your success and growth in this role:
- Recognized Health and Safety Qualification at Diploma or Degree level.
- Environmental Qualification at Diploma or Degree level.
- 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role within industrial, construction, or offshore settings.
- Strong understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
- Familiarity with EHS regulations applicable in the region.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, EHS investigations, and training personnel in EHS practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Swedish.
What We Offer:
Join us on a transformative journey in the rail industry, where you can continuously develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You will also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous routines.
- Make a meaningful impact through your work.
- Collaborate with diverse teams and supportive colleagues.
- Contribute to innovative projects.
- Shape your career path across various functions and countries.
- Benefit from our commitment to your development through award-winning training programs.
- Receive a competitive and dynamic compensation package that recognizes your performance and potential, along with comprehensive social benefits (life, medical, pension).
You do not need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We assure you that when you experience our trains with your friends or family, you will feel a sense of pride. If you are ready for this challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.
Important Note:
As a global organization, we are an equal-opportunity employer that values diversity across the 63 countries in which we operate. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace for all.
