Head of Collections

The successful candidate will lead and secure the maintenance, research, and presentation of our museum collection.

Key responsibilities include planning and preparing exhibitions, education/learning initiatives, and acquisitions to maintain and improve the collection's relevance and quality.

This role requires a strong ability to share knowledge in an intriguing and understandable way for all kinds of target audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate furniture design specialist with in-depth knowledge of furniture design from both a historical and contemporary perspective.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, networks, and media.
  • Experience working with research linked to furniture design and writing/sharing articles within this field.
  • Ability to act with speed and take fast decisions when needed.
  • University degree in design/architecture/museum fields.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position (40 hours per week), located in Sweden. You will report to the Museum Manager.
