At Alstom, we're seeking a skilled Welding Coordinator to join our team in Västerås. As a key member of our Asset Life Management (ALM) team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our rail vehicles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing welding project requirements, including product standards and supplementary requirements
  • Performing technical reviews of welding procedures, materials, and equipment
  • Inspecting welders' and welding operators' qualifications and suitability of welding procedure specifications
  • Ensuring compliance with European and Swedish norms, standards, and legislation for rail vehicles and railways

Requirements:

  • Degree in International Welding Engineer (IWE)
  • Experience or understanding of 3D CAD design (Solidworks, Catia V5 or equivalent)
  • Structured mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Swedish (C2 level)
