Rasulson Consulting AB is seeking a Power Electronics Expert to lead the design and development of power and hardware system architecture for an advanced industrial product. This high-impact role requires a high degree of autonomy, deep technical expertise, and strong decision-making skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Develop safe and efficient power distribution solutions that incorporate embedded control systems, while ensuring seamless integration of power electronics, embedded controllers, and peripheral devices.
  2. Component Sourcing & Integration: Source and integrate off-the-shelf components—such as power electronics, MCUs, sensors, and other essential parts—optimizing for performance, cost, and reliability.
  3. Collaboration with Electrical Engineering: Work closely with electrical design engineers to develop safe and efficient power distribution solutions.
  4. Load Management & Safety Compliance: Ensure the system operates safely and efficiently by adhering to electrical safety standards such as IEC, ISO, UL, and CE.
  5. Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance on key system decisions, including power conversion, energy distribution, and thermal management strategies.
  6. Manufacturability & Scalability: Ensure the hardware design supports scalable production and assembly processes.
Requirements
  1. Industry Experience: Over 10 years in hardware and systems engineering, with a background in power electronics, industrial automation, or embedded systems.
  2. Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge of power electronics, including AC/DC conversion, energy storage, and load balancing, alongside experience with off-the-shelf component sourcing and integration.
  3. Systems Engineering: Strong ability to conceptualize the full system—from high-level architecture to detailed hardware implementation—and a proven track record in electrical design and safety standards.
  4. Embedded Hardware: Familiarity with MCU/SoC selection, I/O interfaces, and communication protocols, as well as experience with RTOS environments.
  5. Practical Skills: Hands-on experience with prototyping and laboratory testing of power systems, complemented by a history of effective cross-functional collaboration.
