Job Overview:

The Global Product Group Power Transformers Quality Specialist for HVDC & LC is responsible for supporting the GPG Quality Management team in defining, implementing, and sustaining actions to improve quality performance of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Large Core Power Transformers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Quality Performance Enhancement: Develop initiatives to enhance quality performance of HVDC and Large Core Power Transformers.
  • Quality Plan Implementation: Monitor and support the implementation status of the HVDC/LC quality plan across units.
  • Quality Inspection Checklists: Create and maintain quality inspection checklists (QICs) for HVDC/LC.
  • Design Qualification and Inspection Control: Implement the design qualification and inspection control (DQIC) process for HVDC/LC.
  • Quality Standards Establishment: Establish and maintain quality standards for HVDC/LC as per the GPG quality journey action plan.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate test failures, field failures, and total quality incidents (TQIs) of HVDC/LC transformers and approve 8D/RCA reports.
  • Training Development: Develop training materials on quality for HVDC/LC transformers.
  • Skill Matrix Maintenance: Maintain a skills matrix for operators of HVDC/LC transformers.
  • Global Quality Alerts: Issue global quality alerts on HVDC/LC quality issues.
  • HVDC Academy Contribution: Contribute to the development and implementation of the HVDC Academy led by the Global HVDC team.
  • CPR Audits: Perform CPR audits with GPG operations experts and support units to close gaps.
  • Quality Projects: Develop quality projects for HVDC/LC transformers based on the quality journey plan.
