Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Kinsei Talent. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our databases, ensuring data consistency, and implementing best practices to maintain database performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating new database technologies to improve our services
  • Administering, configuring, and analyzing queries for improvements with Postgres or Oracle
  • Analyzing the challenge of loading and maintaining large datasets, including choosing the best technology and database, designing the perfect schema, and maintaining data sanity
  • Helping to optimize queries and creating and managing data backups
  • Participating in on-call rotation shifts
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Linux DBA with large amounts of data in the cloud or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Excellent skills as a DBA, including ETL, backup, and restore
  • Ability to apply relational OLTP, OLAP, or non-relational database technologies
  • Valid EU citizenship
Desirable:
  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar
  • Postgres experience administrating, configuring, and analyzing queries for improvements
  • Professional experience as a Linux Sys Admin
  • Demonstrable knowledge of network design and troubleshooting
  • Technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark
