We are seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, or Stockholm.

Job Overview

Vattenfall Group Risk Management aims to ensure long-term sustainable corporate development by providing state-of-the-art support to decision-makers. Our team drives processes for risk identification, analysis, and assessment, as well as risk supervision, reporting, and documentation.

In this role, you will contribute to managing credit risks arising from renewable projects and trading activities, ensuring a financially healthy business. You will work closely with international teams of experts to develop sound cooperation with external and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of assigned counterparties
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to perform credit analyses and minimize potential and actual credit losses
  • Allocate credit limits according to risk mandates
  • Prepare credit recommendations for decision-makers
  • Negotiate master netting agreements and credit support documents
  • Perform complex transaction analysis and industry research
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, or a relevant field
  • 5-7 years of experience in analytical functions, preferably in credit risk management within the energy sector
  • Practical experience in analyzing counterparties, structuring credit risk mitigation, and negotiating master netting agreements
  • Strong analytical skills, accurate judgment, and decisiveness
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with fluency in English
