About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced iOS Engineer with a specialization in Infrastructure to join our Client Platform studio at Spotify. As a Platform & Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our platform scales seamlessly and supports the rapid development and deployment of high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain CI Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build, test, and deployment processes for iOS applications.
  • Automate Testing Processes: Create and improve automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality releases.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with iOS developers to integrate Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and testing practices into their workflows and ensure smooth and efficient code merges.
  • Enhance Code Review Processes: Implement and maintain tools and processes for code review to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Monitor CI Systems: Continuously monitor the health and performance of CI systems, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and issues.
  • Write Clean and Maintainable Code: Write clean and maintainable code that will scale across a number of projects and distributed development teams.
  • Share Knowledge and Best Practices: Share knowledge, promote best practices, and collaborate with some of the best engineers in the company.
  • Improve Developer Experience: Improve developer experience, with a strong focus on clean APIs and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Proven Experience in Software Development: You have 5+ years of proven experience in software development.
  • iOS Development: You have experience in iOS development using Swift and Objective-C.
  • Infrastructure Management: You have experience in managing and optimizing large-scale infrastructure and platform services.
  • CI/CD Principles: You have a strong understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices.
  • Learning Ability: You have a phenomenal ability to learn and expand your areas of expertise to tackle the problems in front of you.
  • Communication Skills: You have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for Work: You're passionate about your work, striving towards the goals of the team and, ultimately, the Spotify mission.
  • CI Tools: You have experience with CI tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, BuildKite or equivalent.
  • Automated Testing Frameworks: You have familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools for iOS (XCTest, XCUITest).
  • Code Quality: You have familiarity with identifying and resolving issues related to code quality and test flakiness.
Location

You'll be based in Stockholm, Sweden or London, UK.
