Valve Cooling Project Engineer

At Hitachi Energy Sweden AB, we design, manufacture, test, and manage converter valves for HVDC and SVC applications. Our goal is to provide innovative solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled engineer to lead the development of cooling systems for our valve products. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical specifications, participating in testing, and collaborating with the tender team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop cooling system designs that meet quality and cost requirements.
  2. Create technical specifications for cooling systems and participate in testing.
  3. Collaborate with the tender team to provide technical solutions and cost calculations.
  4. Work closely with valve cooling project engineers – electrical and control to deliver projects from specification to testing.
  5. Support commissioning engineers with commissioning issues and participate in customer or internal training as a trainer.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in electrical and electronics, mechanical, thermodynamic engineering, or equivalent through experience.
  • Practical experience and interest in technology, with relevant work experience a merit.
  • Analytical and self-driven individual with a deep technical interest.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured approach to work.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for building long-term business relationships.
