Procurement Specialist

Cepheid, a leading provider of diagnostic solutions, is seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join our team in Solna, Sweden. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for acquiring inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner.

The Procurement Specialist will coordinate purchasing activities with production planning and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of materials and components. This includes:

• Securing replenishment of materials and components according to demand requirements
• FOLLOWING up on supplier performance and reporting to Sr Buyer and Category Management
• SUPPORTing logistics and quality for non-conforming deliveries and materials
• MANAGING assigned items to support material planning team with master data input

As a Procurement Specialist at Cepheid, you will have the opportunity to work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver best value from bought-in goods/materials and services. Your efforts will contribute significantly to maximizing profitability and aligning with the company's policy and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A degree in economics or technical orientation (minimum 2 years study) or equivalent work experience
• 1+ year of experience from industrial production industry
• Experience in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel as an analytic tool, but also PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely to stakeholders and suppliers with different backgrounds and cultures
• Communication skills in both written and spoken English and basic knowledge in Swedish
