Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated research scientists to expand and strengthen our teams, which work on protein production, crystallization, and structure determination. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in protein expression and purification, or crystallization and structure determination, with a desire to learn new techniques and incorporate new methodologies into their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform experiments in a scientific research setting, analyzing and drawing conclusions from generated data
  • Have a strong understanding of protein structures and their biophysical properties
  • Develop and maintain expertise in recombinant protein expression, purification, and characterization
  • Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary research team to achieve project goals
  • Present findings to the project team, senior management, and clients
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, structural biology, or related fields
  • Experience in independent planning and performing of experiments and analyzing and drawing conclusions from generated data
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in recombinant protein expression in E. coli, insect, and/or mammalian cells
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with ÄKTA systems
  • Experience in protein crystallization and structure determination
  • Knowledge of structure-based design and drug discovery projects
