About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Process Development Engineer to join our team at the Customer Development Center (CDC). As part of our organization, CDC plays a crucial role in connecting our company, application teams, and customers, facilitating component prototyping, pilot production, and process development for powder metal technologies. The successful candidate will have expertise in surface densification and the ability to drive R&D initiatives and customer projects. They will work closely with academia, customers, and OEMs to push the boundaries of technological advancement and act as a technical advisor on surface densification processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Drive R&D initiatives and customer projects focused on surface densification and PM process development.
  2. Work closely with academia, customers, and OEMs to advance technological capabilities.
  3. Act as a technical advisor on surface densification processes, providing support to both internal and customer-facing activities.
  4. Collaborate with departments, customers, and research institutes to meet project goals.
  5. Present technical insights for customers and at conferences.

Your Profile:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
  1. A relevant university degree (MSc or equivalent) in material or mechanical science.
  2. Experience in powder metallurgy development work.
  3. Preferably industrial R&D experience, with the ability to manage and drive both customer-focused and internal projects.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present technical information clearly and understandably.
  5. Experience or ability in leading, coaching, and motivating teams, with solid project management skills.
