About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our IT area, Data & Analytics, within the Financial Management and Data Analytic Tribe (FMDA). This team is responsible for driving the development and management of solutions related to analytics, regulatory, and financial reporting, playing a key role in the Life & Pensions AI and cloud initiatives.

The Data and Analytic area consists of 12 employees and consultants working together on data warehouses and analytical platforms for insurance and financial data. As an Engineering Manager, you'll be part of the IT Management Team, overseeing the entire system landscape within SEB Life & Pension.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive software development and Life Cycle Management forward, collaborating with your team members and cross-functional colleagues.
  2. Ensure stable operation of maintained solutions.
  3. Create capacity and delivery plans for the teams, guaranteeing the right competencies and skills are in place.
  4. Promote the AI-journey within Life & Pension.
  5. Drive Reliable and Optimized operation within the domain.
  6. Collaborate with Product Owners and business representatives to ensure correct focus and scope of the team's work.
  7. Lead change initiatives as part of the business plan, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  8. Take responsibility for IT contracts relevant to your area, with support from legal and vendor management.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, we believe you:

  1. Have several years of managerial experience, guiding developers and technical specialists within the tech sector.
  2. possess a technical background with expertise in machine learning, generative AI, and cloud technology.
  3. are familiar with ITIL processes.
  4. have experience in change management, contract management, budgeting, and planning.
  5. exhibit strong communication skills, fluently speaking both Swedish and English.
  6. hold an academic background in Computer Science, Data, engineering, or equivalent.
  7. Bonus points for experience with life and insurance products.
