We are the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at Umeå University, a dynamic and international group working on mathematical foundations for artificial intelligence. Our research focuses on geometric deep learning, aiming to understand the effect of symmetric data on neural networks.
About the Job
The chosen candidate will work with us on theoretical approaches to study this problem, applying representation theory to build networks that respect symmetry. The project is part of the AI/MLX track of the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems, and Software Program (WASP), Sweden's largest individual research program.
