Job Description

We invite applications for a PhD position in Prof Camilla Svensson's team to investigate pain mechanisms in fibromyalgia. The project aims to explore whether immune cells and antibodies contribute to muscle pain and elucidate the underlying mechanisms.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with preclinical and clinical researchers, as well as biostatisticians, to enhance our understanding of pain from a translational perspective.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in immunology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, bioinformatics, or a related field. Practical experience with immunohistochemistry, confocal imaging, image analysis, mRNA analysis, and molecular biology techniques is highly valued.

You should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, possessing a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and flexibility.

Benefits

As a doctoral student, you will be employed on a doctoral studentship for a maximum of 4 years full-time, receiving a contractual salary. You will also have access to our modern gym for free and receive reimbursements for medical care.
