The Role:

  • This position involves ensuring contract compliance, managing risks, handling claims, and optimizing project contractual disputes with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • You will oversee the entire lifecycle of the contract, from negotiation and execution to closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify potential claims during project design and execution.
  2. Prepare detailed claims for extensions of time, changes of scope, variation orders, and additional works.
  3. Ensure claims are well-argued, well-documented, and submitted within the stipulated timeframe.
  4. Negotiate claims with employers and other stakeholders.
  5. Maintain comprehensive records of communications, contractual documents, and project progress to support claims and dispute resolution processes.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
  • A solid foundation in contract law, particularly in standard agreements AB, ABT, ABK, and ABM.
  • Knowledge of Swedish laws affecting construction projects, including regulations on health, safety, and the environment.
  • Familiarity with construction methodologies, project management techniques, and cost estimation, including AMA.
