Postdoctoral Researcher in 6G Wireless Security

Chalmers tekniska högskola is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the area of 6G wireless security. The successful candidate will be part of our research group focused on designing next-generation sustainable mobile communications systems.
The postdoctoral researcher will work on developing world-class research on physical layer security in 6G mobile networks, with a special focus on classification, identification, and mitigation of attacks at the physical layer in D-MIMO systems. The researcher will interact with other researchers in mobile communications and information technology security at Chalmers, as well as within our large international academic and industrial research network.
The position offers great opportunities to qualify for further research positions within academia or industry, with numerous ongoing collaborations with leading academic groups and industry both nationally and internationally. The researcher will be active within our new EU Horizon Europe 6G-IA project "Smart, Automated, and Reliable Security Service Platform for 6G" and in our Chalmers Area of Advance Transport project "Towards Intelligent and Safe Urban Transport System: Where Digital Twining and 6G Vehicular Communications Meet".
The appointment is for 1+1 years of full-time employment, with a monthly salary paid. The majority of the working time is devoted to the researcher's own research, with the opportunity to take part in supervision of Ph.D. students and MSc thesis students, as well as teaching of undergraduate students to a small extent.
The successful candidate should have a recent PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Communication, or a similar field. The candidate must have very good knowledge about wireless communications, with knowledge in cooperative communications, distributed MIMO, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs), cell-free Massive MIMO at mm-wave and (sub-)THz, communications theory, signal processing for communications, optimization techniques, and machine learning being highly advantageous.
The candidate must have excellent command of spoken and written English and have good presentation and collaborative skills. Teaching experience is an advantage, as is previous first-author publication experience in IEEE journals.
