Nordic Sales Manager for Institutional Clients

Nu Sweden is the investment management arm of a global leader in asset management. It is one of the largest global asset managers with specialist knowledge across a wide array of asset classes, including fixed income, listed equities and alternatives.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned sales executive to join our team in Stockholm as a VP of Client Relations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients in Sweden, reporting to the Head of Nordics.
The role offers an opportunity to work with top-tier institutional investors in the region across a broad range of investment products. We support our sales executives with training in product knowledge, process & systems, and relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage key client relationships at a senior level with CIOs and portfolio managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities and retain existing business.
- Develop and execute strategy to cross-sell to existing client base.
- Drive new revenue and new mandate generation across products and client types.
- Lead client and prospect meetings and engagement activity.
- Initiate brand building and sales activity with investors not currently engaged in discussions with Nu.
- Develop and execute strategy to uncover and develop mandates that will have the most commercial impact.
- Work collaboratively with partners within the company, especially the Specialist and investment teams, to drive new business opportunities and solve complex client issues and challenges.
- Lead support staff on assigned client relationships to provide client service and implement sales strategy.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's overall development.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in financial services, with a proven track record in institutional sales and a strong network of key decision-makers within relevant institutions in the Nordic region.
Excellent sales skills, demonstrated ability to close business, and solid product and investment knowledge are essential for this role. A degree in a related field, such as economics, finance, or marketing, is also required.
Self-motivated individuals with the ability to take ownership to ensure outcomes are achieved and effective communication skills with both external clients and prospects but also internally are preferred.
