Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Downstream Scientist to join our client's Biologics Manufacturing facility in Umeå. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advance the downstream process and optimize protein purification.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments to improve biological manufacturing processes
  • Develop and implement SOPs and protocols for downstream processing
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform process improvements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of experimental procedures and results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize protein purification
  • Contribute to deviation investigations and root cause analysis


Requirements:

  • PhD or BSc/MSc in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Substantial experience in downstream processing with a focus on protein purification
  • Strong understanding of cGMP guidelines and other relevant regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
