HVDC technology enables the transmission of electricity over long distances and through submarine cables. It also facilitates the connection of power systems.

Your Role in Our Global Organization

You will be responsible for leading one of our HVDC system study and simulation teams within the HVDC System Design department.

You will report directly to the Global Manager HVDC System Performance and collaborate with neighboring departments and the entire HVDC System Design team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Your Team: You will oversee a team of system engineers responsible for conducting studies and analysis using simulation tools such as PSCAD, Power Factory, and PSS/E.
  2. Maintain Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to processes and quality standards within your technical function area.
  3. Foster Collaboration: Establish and maintain alignment, collaboration, and support towards neighboring departments and the entire HVDC System Design department.
  4. Develop Your Team: Develop individual competences and skills needed to meet business needs, in alignment with internal stakeholders and customers.
  5. Drive Strategic Initiatives: Adapt and implement short-term strategic initiatives to fit your team and achieve alignment with company strategies.
  6. Owning Quality Output: Take ownership of your team's delivery, monitor process adherence, and lead continuous improvement efforts within your team.

Your Background and Qualifications

  1. University Degree: You hold a degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems, or a similar field.
  2. Previous Management Experience: Preferably, you have previous management experience.
  3. People-Oriented: You are interested in people and prepared to support and empower your team.
  4. Leadership Skills: You are open, communicative, responsive, adaptive, and able to lead in a rapidly changing business environment.
  5. Tech Expertise: Previous experience from HVDC or FACTS technology is advantageous.
  6. Languages: Fluency in English is required, and Swedish knowledge is a plus.
  7. Team Player: As a person, you are a team player, work in an analytical and structured manner, and take responsibility for your team's work, quality output, and delivery on time.
