Job Description

The Global Medical Affairs Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Strategy and Plan in the Nordic region. This includes providing medical/scientific strategic and operational leadership for Medical Affairs activities such as overall strategy and plan, scientific data gap analysis, data generation and communication, competitive landscape analysis, and utilization of insights.

This role requires a strong leader with proven influencing and negotiating ability, as well as a track record of cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of drug development, safety, regulatory, market access, and reimbursement requirements, as well as experience working with biologics.

  1. Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the medical and competitive developments and unmet needs in relevant therapeutic areas.
  2. Provide medical insights and perspectives to guide the business strategy.
  3. Strategic Planning for the affiliate Medical Affairs team, ensuring alignment of strategy and providing input into operational and strategic decision-making processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MD degree or Pharmacist preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in medical affairs and/or clinical research and development.
  • Minimum of 3 years Medical Affairs experience.
  • Experience in dermatology preferred as well as launch experience.
