Job Summary:

ULTEUM is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting technical reviews of subcontractor submissions, witnessing and verifying subcontractor process and personnel qualification tests, and overseeing subcontractor inspection and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Review and Verification: Conduct and/or coordinate technical reviews of subcontractor submissions, including quality plans, personnel qualifications, process documentation, and construction records.
  • Inspection and Testing: Witness and verify subcontractor process and personnel qualification tests to ensure they meet specification requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee and review subcontractor inspection and testing activities, ensuring they align with specifications and approved inspection and test plans.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Perform and document second-party inspections and testing as outlined in the approved plans.
  • Facilitation and Coordination: Facilitate third-party or client verification activities according to agreed inspection and test plans.
  • Design Change Control: Monitor subcontractor design change control processes.
  • Non-Conformance and Corrective Action: Oversee subcontractor non-conformance and corrective action processes; raise non-conformance notes when necessary and manage the resolution of non-conforming work.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze subcontractor performance and provide input for re-qualification and management reviews.
  • Customer Focus: Deliver quality services, demonstrating a commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel as required, including for project-related activities.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A recognized degree and/or technical competencies in the relevant scope (Mechanical), relevant discipline qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in a similar industry, with a thorough understanding of supplier inspection management principles and practices.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive and goal-oriented, with strong attention to detail, ability to effectively manage changes in work tasks and the environment, and assist others in adapting to change.
