Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Belmont Lavan Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to work on advanced threat protection and contribute to the development of our cybersecurity capabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing threat intelligence, defining metrics for proactive and reactive ransomware protection, conducting exercises/tests, and developing protection mechanisms against ransomware attacks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Threat Intelligence Analysis: Analyze threat intelligence of ransomware groups and ransomware attack methods to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Metrics Development: Define metrics for the company's proactive and reactive ransomware protection to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ransomware Exercises/Tests: Conduct regular exercises/tests to drive mitigative activities and ensure the effectiveness of our protection mechanisms.
  • Protection Mechanisms: Develop protection mechanisms against ransomware attacks and TTPs (Threat, Tactics, and Procedures) to safeguard our systems and data.
  • Tool Implementation: Review and implement security features in Ransomware protection tools to enhance our defenses.
Cybersecurity Capabilities:
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience within cybersecurity is essential for this role.
  • Technical Understanding: A technical understanding of ransomware threats, attacks, and TTPs is required to develop effective protection mechanisms.
  • Defending Against Ransomware: Good understanding of how to defend against ransomware is crucial to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills and/or cybersecurity architecture skills are necessary to lead projects and implement change.
Desirable Skills:
  • Threat Hunting Methods: Experience with threat hunting methods and IOCs (Indicators of Compromise).
  • Malware and Ransomware Trends: Knowledge of malware and ransomware trends, including RAT/ransomware communication.
  • MITRE ATT&CK Framework: Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework or similar frameworks.
  • Penetration Testing: Experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or CTFs (Capture The Flag).
  • Threat Intelligence Tools: Experience with threat intelligence tools and TTPs.
  • Incident Response/Forensics: Incident response/forensics or SOC experience (L1, L2, or L3).
  • Ransomware Breach Management: Experience with managing ransomware breaches and rebuilding large-scale infrastructures.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
