Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral fellow to contribute to the development of methods for safety analysis of small modular reactors (SMRs). This includes evaluating the reliability of passive safety systems and assessing severe accidents and their consequences in SMRs.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to conduct assessments of severe accidents and their consequences in SMRs, as well as analyze the reliability of passive safety systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the reliability of passive safety systems in SMRs.
  • Conduct assessments of severe accidents and their consequences in SMRs.
Requirements
  • A doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree in a relevant field such as nuclear engineering, thermal hydraulics, or a related field.
  • Experience in reactor thermal hydraulics, severe accident research, and safety analyses.
  • Knowledge of using reactor thermohydraulics and severe accident codes.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Recent doctoral degree (< 3 years prior to application deadline).
  • Good communication and collaborative skills.
  • Motivation and dedication to research work.
