Content Specialist

At Saab, we're seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our team. As a key member of our Development Unit at Missile Systems, you'll play a vital role in creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation.

We design, manufacture, and maintain advanced systems in aeronautics, weapons, command and control, sensors, and underwater systems. Our innovative environment values creativity, cutting-edge technology, and teamwork.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and edit technical information related to our development projects and product upgrades. You'll collect and integrate source data from various sources, including design specifications, schematics, and COTS suppliers.

• Plan and develop technical information for our development projects and product upgrades.
• Collect and integrate source data from multiple sources, including design specifications, schematics, and COTS suppliers.
• Write clear, concise, and structured technical procedures using engineers' input.
• Specify and handle illustrations.
• Interpret and comply with military standards for technical writing in our software environment.
• Acquire technical knowledge of our products to improve the effectiveness of the technical information.
• Develop and improve best practices and participate in process improvements.

You'll work closely with our engineers and other teams to ensure that our technical documentation meets the highest standards. Your attention to detail and ability to grasp complex information will be essential in this role.

To succeed in this position, you should have:

• A post-secondary education.
• An interest in technology.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience in technical writing.
• Knowledge of processes, routines, and general ways of working when developing publications.
