Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Overview

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Uppsala, Sweden. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating threats to our diagnostic devices, ensuring the security and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle
• Conduct security assessments and risk control implementation to protect against hacking, malware, and ransomware
• Assist with compliance and risk management to ensure regulatory requirements are met
• Contribute to the specification of product requirements, including anti-virus requirements, encryption standards, and device patching
• Develop and deliver training materials for personnel involved in the security and deployment of our laboratory products and systems

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a security engineer or equivalent role
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and security principles
• Familiarity with medical/in-vitro-diagnostic equipment, associated software, and common deployment models
• Knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting languages, such as Python, Ruby, or Perl
• Experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or certification as an Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a strong merit
