Job Summary:

Altair Engineering is seeking an experienced C/C++ developer with expertise in electromagnetic wave propagation and radio network planning to join its team. As a key member of the Altair WRAP development team, you will design and implement advanced algorithms and software modules to enhance the product's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-performance software modules for radio and radar coverage planning, interference analysis, and spectrum management.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Quality Assurance to bring next-generation wave propagation and radio network planning tools to market.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and maintain existing product functionality.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in C/C++ software development, with a strong background in electromagnetic wave propagation and radio network planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement complex algorithms and software solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of RF engineering, wireless networks, and radar systems.
  • Fundamental understanding of computational electromagnetics and wave propagation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with radio planning software tools, radar systems, and technologies.
  • Knowledge of spectrum management and monitoring, broadcasting, and satellite communication.
  • Collocation interference and wireless air interfaces like 5G, LTE, and more.
  • SQL databases and data management.
