Job Details
We are currently seeking a Commercial/Bid Manager to join our team in BU Underwater Systems. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Project, Contract, or Commercial Manager, or with similar leadership roles in an international environment. In this role, you will engage in a wide range of tasks, from analyzing customer requests to determining bid/contract strategy and preparing cost structures. Your key responsibilities will include scrutinizing commercial parts of customer requests, negotiations, and supporting contract execution regarding commercial aspects. Travel, both domestic and international, will be part of the job.
Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial/Bid Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing customer requests to determine bid/contract strategy and bid/contract plan. You will also prepare cost structures (calculation & pricing), financial analysis and risk mitigating activities. Furthermore, you will scrutinize commercial parts of customer requests, negotiate terms and conditions, and support contract execution regarding commercial aspects. Additional duties may include preparation of proposals, bids, and other contractual documents.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or engineering. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role is required, preferably within the defence or aerospace industry. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
