Job Description
As a Safety Analysis Engineer at Westinghouse, you will be part of a team examining whether our BWR reactors meet safety requirements set by Westinghouse, our customers, and authorities globally. This involves managing calculations and conducting safety analyses of BWR reactors using computer codes like BISON and POLCA-T.
You will work in project-based teams collaborating with project managers and other engineers to analyze complex scenarios and ensure compliance with current and future regulations. You may be based in our Swedish headquarters in Västerås or Helsinki, Finland, with opportunities to work remotely several days per week.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- MSc in Engineering Physics or a related field providing a technical foundation.
- Programming skills in Python, with experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Full professional proficiency in Swedish is meritorious but not necessary for this role.
