About the Role

Polestar is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Performance Engineer to join our R&D organization. As a key member of our Electrical Performance & EMC team, you will play a critical role in driving and supporting the development of robust electrical designs for our vehicle products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Electrical Performance and EMC function to ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements for multiple programs, on time and to meet or exceed cost, design, and quality targets.
  • Define, distribute, follow up, and verify compliance of Electrical Performance requirements.
  • Support component owners with hardware design and collaborate with Electrical Performance, High Voltage, and EDS teams.
  • Develop future strategies and technology roadmaps, including highlighting new technology developments required to deliver new product content.
  • Prepare status reports and feedback to project and line management teams.
Requirements
  • Significant relevant experience in EMC & ELP development within the Automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Good understanding of Automotive Electrical systems.
  • Electrical, Electronic Systems, Electro-mechanical, Automotive, or similar engineering degree.
  • Work permit to work in the UK or in the European Union.
Desirable Experience
  • Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures based upon Ethernet, CAN, LIN, and Flexray.
  • Experience of the full product lifecycle, from concept through to vehicle launch.
  • Experience of delivering electrical systems in accordance with Safety & Security requirements.
