As a Senior Fullstack JS Engineer at Kindred Group plc, you will be part of our Cross-Functional team within the Sportsbook Area. Your main responsibility will be designing and implementing the user interface of our web applications, backend for frontend (BFF), and integrating both via REST APIs.

You will also collaborate closely with the Product Owner, other front-end, back-end, and iOS developers, Architects, and the rest of the team members to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions across different platforms.

In this team, you will have the opportunity to make a large business impact by contributing to the success of 'Our journey towards zero' initiative, where we aim to reduce the negative impact of gambling on our customers.

We strongly believe in the ethos of taking part in the full system/development life cycle to ensure reliability and uptime of the production environment.

Our technology stack includes:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js
  • CSS, UI libraries, and HTML
  • REST APIs
  • CI/CD using Jenkins
  • Micro frontend architecture
  • Testing with Mocha/Jest
  • Cypress E2E Testing
  • State management with Redux or similar

To excel in this role, we believe you…

  • Have experience working as a Senior Fullstack Developer/Engineer, with great skills in JavaScript, Typescript, React/Redux, and Node.js
  • Have worked as a team member in an Agile team and are familiar with Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks.
  • Are proficient with CSS, HTML, and UI libraries.
  • Have experience releasing components to production and keeping them up to date with appropriate versioning.
  • Have experience in building REST APIs.
  • Enjoy having full ownership of your work and the SDLC, including using appropriate testing techniques such as unit testing & integration testing.
  • Have experience implementing CI/CD practices such as git branching, automated tests, and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Are able to investigate, troubleshoot, and solve production issues or have previous experience working as an Incident Manager.
  • Have a good appreciation of TDD/BDD.
  • Have a good understanding of React Hooks.
  • Are passionate about solving challenging problems in a fast-paced and ever-changing agile environment.
