About This Role

We're seeking an experienced Security Strategist to join our team. Your primary focus will be on identifying emerging security use cases and solutions that stay ahead of customer, market, and technology trends. You'll work closely with technical and domain security subject matter experts to incubate and advance the value of Splunk products for EMEA North customers, with a specific focus on the Nordics region.

Your responsibilities will include driving adoption and success metrics for emerging security use cases and solutions, as well as evangelizing and advancing the Splunk Security brand, product, and GTM strategy globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Emerging Security Use Cases: Create and refine security use cases that reflect priority customer challenges, market trends, and evolving threat landscapes.
  • Content Development: Design and test new maturity models, white papers, programs, workshops, demos, POVs, enablement content, and thought leadership content to accelerate adoption of emerging information security use cases and solutions.
  • Security Representation: Represent Splunk Security as a security GTM stakeholder in product roadmap, launch planning, customer initiative development, and strategic growth areas.
  • Industry Evangelism: Showcase and promote Splunk Security vision, strategy, and roadmap at industry events and with global customers and partners.
  • Talent Development: Mentor security talent within the team and across the SE and Solution Architect community to increase the profile of security at Splunk.
  • Regional Partnerships: Partner with regional teams to localize global content and strategy for region-specific sales plays, enablement content, account targeting strategies, and channel strategies.

Requirements

  • Technical Experience: 7+ years of technical sales, product, or practitioner experience in the security industry.
  • Security Expertise: Familiarity with modern security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, and UEBA, and their place in organizational architecture.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, comfortable presenting publicly to large audiences or one-on-one with senior executives.
  • Complex Sales Cycles: Experience driving complex security sales cycles across EMEA.
  • Current Threats: Demonstrated knowledge of current threats, high-visibility security events, and trends in the marketplace.
  • Data Sources: Familiarity with current security data sources spanning on-premises, hybrid, & multi-cloud environments.
  • Industry Frameworks: Familiarity with common industry frameworks and concepts like MITRE ATT&CK, CSC CIS, LMKC, OTel, DORA, etc.
  • Travel and Work Environment: Willingness to travel for industry and marketing events, customer meetings, and work comfortably in a globally-dispersed remote organization.
