Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for co-managing the BIM team, taking on line management duties, and being accountable for project delivery. This involves:

  1. Leading and supporting the implementation of BIM on major projects, programmes, and across portfolios.
  2. Authoring key BIM documentation, including Asset Information Requirements, Employer Information Requirements, and BIM Execution Plans.
  3. Assessing project teams' BIM competency, advising on the development of project BIM Execution Plans, and approving on behalf of the client when necessary.
  4. Ensuring project BIM standards are followed by project stakeholders and reporting key risks and effective mitigations.
  5. Leading model assurance activities, including defining strategy and approach, model analysis, technical and plain language reporting.
  6. Chairing and leading BIM workgroup and Technical BIM sessions with the project team to present outcomes of model assurance activities.
  7. Researching, developing, and implementing new technologies, processes, and emerging best practices.
  8. Continuously developing in-house standards and capabilities.
  9. Providing support to the wider business with tender bidding teams to win future work.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Typically, a qualified professional in a relevant discipline, with five or more years of relevant experience in a BIM environment, is required for this role. The applicant should be familiar with ISO 19650 and other relevant local standards/guidelines. An enthusiastic, proactive self-starter with well-developed communications and analytical skills is essential.

Previous experience working in a BIM environment on a major project, programme, or across a large portfolio would be ideal. Evidence of BIM courses and modules would strengthen your application. Expected to be numerate and computer literate, competent in at least one of the following 'model checking' and 'model authoring' software: Solibri Model Checker, Autodesk Navisworks, Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Bentley AECOsim, Nemetschek Vectorworks, Autodesk Revit, or Autodesk Construction Cloud/360.
