About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Karolinska Institutet, focusing on immunotherapy research in cancer treatment. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to cutting-edge research projects, developing and optimizing CAR T cell therapies for solid tumors.

Your primary responsibility will be to work on three distinct research projects, each with its unique objectives and challenges. Project 1 aims to further improve CAR T cell therapy by optimizing CAR T cell production, choice of T cell source/subset for CAR production, and CAR design improvements. Project 2 involves developing a tool to easily identify tumor-specific T cells and further improving CAR T cell therapy by optimizing CAR T cell production and T cell source. Project 3 focuses on understanding the environment in which γδ T cells reside, using a wide range of immunological and biochemical techniques such as flow cytometry, TCR Sequencing, NGS, and fluoroSpot analysis.

You will have the opportunity to work in an international and interdisciplinary research environment, collaborating with experienced researchers and PhD students from various backgrounds. Our team encourages open communication, creativity, and collaboration, providing a dynamic and stimulating work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality research, analyzing and interpreting data, and presenting findings through publications and presentations

  • Publish research findings in top-tier journals and present at conferences
  • Contribute to grant writing and proposal development
