About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at DigitalRoute AB. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Scalable Infrastructure: Develop and maintain high-availability infrastructure for applications and services, ensuring seamless data collection, processing, and access.
  • Automation and Monitoring: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of potential issues.
  • System Reliability and Performance: Implement best practices for system reliability, including fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and performance optimization, ensuring our platform meets the highest standards of reliability and scalability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure new features and services are reliable and scalable, and collaborate with data platform engineers to enable data collection, processing, access, usability, and monitoring.
  • Incident Response and Resolution: Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve systems and processes for better reliability, scalability, and efficiency, and mentor team members to promote a culture of reliability and data excellence.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role in a production environment, with a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, infrastructure as code, and containerization technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
  • Database Knowledge: Expertise in modern database technologies, including NoSQL and relational databases, and knowledge of data storage, database design, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
