Power Grids Project Director

We're looking for an accomplished Project Director to lead our Power Grids team and drive strategic initiatives in the field of electrical power systems. As a member of our experienced team, you'll have the opportunity to combine your technical skills with your leadership abilities and contribute to the company's growth and success.
In this role, you'll oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing teams of control engineers responsible for designing and implementing control systems that meet customer requirements. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be essential in driving project success and ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions.
As a leader, you'll play a critical role in the project, serving as the interface between the control engineering team and customers as well as other project team members. You'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with many interfaces within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Take overall technical responsibility for the team's technical scope of work and ability to meet scheduling requirements.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the organization.
- Ensure adherence to Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.
Requirements
- To succeed in this position, you must be a confident leader with exceptional project management and technical skills.
- You hold a BSc or MSc in Engineering with a specialization in electrical systems, automatic control theory, software engineering or equivalent.
- Experience from similar technical engineering positions working with design of electrical power plants, converter stations, process control systems, substation automation or similar.
- You are organized, responsive and solution-driven, with a strong focus on delivering results.
- Proficiency in English is required. Swedish is considered as a valuable skill.
