At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're looking for a seasoned Data Center Operations Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team in Västerås. This leadership role will oversee the safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of our data center operations teams within an AWS region.

The ideal candidate will have a background in people management, with a proven track record of leading technical teams. They should have an understanding of IT infrastructure and operations support, as well as experience with information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, cabling best practices and IT service delivery principles and best practices.

This role requires a driven leader who can inspire and guide their team to meet the evolving needs of our organization. As a Data Center Manager, you'll be responsible for supervising a team of Data Center Technicians, overseeing the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of network and server hardware.

You'll also be responsible for strategic planning and forecasting, managing team and individual performance, delivering performance reviews, and addressing staffing needs. Additionally, you'll mentor, train, and develop career progression for direct reports and members of the organization.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Data Center Operations experience or similar Operations roles
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience including performance management such as End of Year Reviews
  • Team, organizational and planning skills, as well as stringent time management skills to balance workloads in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Driving license valid in EU
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of cumulative experience with information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, cabling best practices and IT service delivery principles and best practices
  • Understanding of critical Electrical, HVAC and control systems.
