The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a motivated In Vivo Lab Technician to join the growing team in Mölndal. In this role, you will provide direct support to researchers working in the animal facilities by collecting and ordering laboratory materials, replenishing supplies, maintaining a clean work environment, and more Are you interested in working in an international environment with many contacts where you can deliver the highest level of service to the customer? This is a full-time position and is a permanent position based at our client's location, with placement in Mölndal. In addition to an attractive salary, we offer several benefits such as a bonus plan, pension system, and health care allowance.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, start time between 6:00 - 9:00 and end time 15:00 - 18:00

The Team

This is a newly formed team that is growing. So far, the team consists of an In Vivo Lab Manager and an In Vivo Technician. Together, they belong to our department Lab & Production Services, which helps large pharmaceutical companies and laboratories around the world with research and development in the Life Sciences industry.

Required Experience:

Education: High school diploma, preferably with a connection to animal care

Experience:

  • Experience with any type of animal work is a big plus
  • Experience in a laboratory environment is a plus, but not a requirement

Required Skills:

  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluency in both Swedish and good English
  • Curious, adaptable, and self-motivated
  • Service-minded, outgoing, and hardworking
  • Comfortable working in an animal laboratory

Main Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support with cleaning and maintenance of laboratory glassware and equipment, including animal enclosures
  • Collection, purchase, and replenishment of consumables, such as laboratory gloves and chemicals
  • Preparation of items for entry and exit in closed areas
  • Purchase and replenishment of animal-related products for daily use, such as food
  • Maintenance of the work area
  • Contribution to creating, maintaining, and updating relevant documents
