Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and updating Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statements to ensure compliance with relevant HSQE standards and management systems.

• Reviews and Updates: Regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statements to ensure compliance with relevant HSQE standards and management systems.
• Safety Training and Induction: Complete Safety Induction Training for all new employees and sub-contractors, maintaining documentary evidence of same.
• Accident and Incident Reporting: Investigate, record, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented without delay.
• Training and Development: Identify new and ongoing safety-related training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time.
• PPE and Policy Enforcement: Ensure that correct PPE is available at all times by all relevant employees and enforce Health and Safety Department policies.
• Sub-Contractor Review and Compliance: Review sub-contractors' Safety Statements and Safety Compliance.
• Meetings and Communication: Attend regular Health & Safety meetings and maintain strong time management and communication skills.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a relevant 3rd level degree qualification in Health & Safety, 3-5 years' experience in a similar position, and experience with relevant HSQE standards and management systems.
