The Financial Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and Infrastructure to oversee financial operations and management, with a focus on payroll and financial management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Manage payroll processes, including leave management and superannuation obligations.
  • Maintain aged debtors and lead debt collection processes.
  • Ensure compliance with finance systems, policies, and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports, financial statements, and budget analysis.
  • Support the Director of Finance and Infrastructure in financial reporting to senior leadership and governing bodies.

Operational Tasks:

  • HR Management including interviews, staff reviews and allocation of tasks for finance staff.
  • Risk Management and Compliance, including Workers Compensation claims and Emergency Management.
  • Property Maintenance and Infrastructure.
  • Support enrolment processes and provide administrative assistance to teaching staff.
  • Represent the school at events as needed.

Relationships:

  • Internal: Reports to the Director of Finance and Infrastructure, oversees accounts and finance staff.
  • External: Engages with MACS, auditors, suppliers, students, and families.
