About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Design Architect to join our team at Volvo Business Services AB. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of transportation by developing sustainable solutions that meet the needs of our customers and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of design strategies and concepts that align with our business objectives and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product development, to ensure that design solutions are feasible and meet technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that design solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
- Provide design input to platform engineering and architectural governance to ensure that design solutions are integrated into the overall product development process.
- Represent the Advanced Design Team in presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders to communicate design solutions and strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in design architecture or a related field, with a strong background in transportation design.
- Proven track record of developing innovative design solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of design principles, including user experience, ergonomics, and sustainability.
- Proficiency in design software tools, including CATIA.
