Shape the Path Towards Sustainable Business
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Strategic Business Controller Trainee at Vattenfall. As a key member of our Business Area Customers & Solutions department, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward and contributing to our mission of leading the energy transition.
About the Traineeship
This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in sustainable business. You will be responsible for developing and supporting our business planning process, including target setting, forecasting, and corrective measures. You will also work closely with our management team and controlling departments to ensure the consolidation of financial information and the provision of high-quality financial analysis.
Your Role
As a Strategic Business Controller Trainee, you will be responsible for:
- Steering the business planning process, including target setting, forecasting, and corrective measures;
- Securing well-consolidated financial information on BA level, considering the underlying drivers of different business units;
- Providing departments and managers with relevant, reliable financial information, business analysis, and proactive support to reach business objectives;
- Supporting the controlling team in analyzing business performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving performance;
- Driving and supporting digitalization initiatives and further development of finance processes and products;
- Participating in the monthly management reporting process.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree in Finance or Business Administration (or equivalent);
- Native-level proficiency in the language of the country you work in (The Netherlands, Germany, or Sweden);
- Strong financial and analytical skills;
- Ability to work in large and complex organizations and manage internal and external stakeholders effectively;
- Strong commitment to continuous personal and business improvement;
- Proactive and transparent;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across international cultures;
- Strong team player.
