HVDC Supply Chain is seeking a skilled Category Specialist to collaborate with the global category manager in sourcing initiatives. This role requires agility in transforming category strategies into actions, working closely with project teams and other stakeholders.
As a Category Specialist, you will drive RFQs and RFPs for project execution, manage quotation comparison/equalization maps, and ensure timely responses from suppliers. You will also foster collaboration within the ONE Hitachi Energy team, working with category managers, transactional buyers, logistics planners, and supplier quality engineers to procure goods and materials on time and within budget.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support strategic sourcing activities, collaborating with the category manager to drive RFQs and RFPs.
- Issue quotation comparison/equalization maps to support purchasing decisions and update costs for project execution against budget targets.
- Control appropriate time response from suppliers and meet internal demands and schedules.
- Cultivate good relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, standards, certificates, and directives required by Hitachi Energy.
- Support category-related actions on supplier qualification and audits process, as well as recover supplier-caused claim values, matching claims with reported non-conformities related to Supplier Quality.
